Michael Riessler, born in Ulm in 1957, lives and works in Munich. He is a composer and one of the most important German jazz musicians (clarinet and saxophone). He has worked with world-renowned composers (John Cage, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Steve Reich, Morton Feldman and others) and musicians and also composes for radio plays and films. He has received numerous awards.
