Nicola Sani, was born in Ferrara in 1961, is a composer, director of opera and dance theatre projects, as well as a music editor and author. He lives in Rome.
In many of his pieces he combines electronic and traditional instruments. He has collaborated with Michelangelo Antonioni, Nam June Paik, and Fabrizio Plessi. He was awraded the Prix Ars Electronica Golden Nica in 1990 for his video film Footprint (with Mario Sasso).
