BIROLINI, Hervé French

Hervé Birolini, born in Metz in 1969, is a French sound artist and composer, sound engineer, and member of the INA-GRM (Groupe de Recherches Musicales) in Paris. His works for concert and radio are increasingly also being played outside France. He has received a number of international awards including at the 2004 Radiobiennale in Mexico. In 2005, he was a winner of the "La Muse en circuit" radio art contest (Now known as the Luc Ferrari Competition). In 2008 he was a winner of the Grand Prix de Lorraine. Since that year he has been the artistic director of Studio Césaré (National centre for musical creation).
