CORCORAN, Frank Irish
Born in Ireland in 1944, the composer Frank Corcoran lives in Italy and Hamburg, where he has taught composition since 1983. He has created numerous works for orchestra and successful electro-acoustic compositions. ↵His "Joycepeak Music" won a prize from the WDR Studio Akustische Kunst in 1995. In 1999, his piece "Sweeney's Vision" won first prize at the Bourges International Electro-acoustic Music Competition. He won the 2002 EMS Prize in Stockholm with "Quasi Una Missa".
