IVANOVIC, Luka (alias Lukatoyboy) Serbia
Luka Ivanovic (alias Lukatoyboy), was born in Belgrade in 1981. He initially worked there as a journalist and radio editor before he began to develop his own artistic projects.
Lukatoyboy’s main sound/music activities include performing electroacoustic
improvised music (based on realtime sampling of various objects, toys, voices and field recordings) using feedback, analogue synthesizers, electromagnetic coils, radio transmitters, walkie talkies and additional small surprises.
On the other side of the groove, he is producing nanotechno and free IDM on a Game Boy.
He has performed and/or taught workshops at various relevant Serbian music festivals and specific events,
but also in the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, USA, Austria, Turkey, Hungary, Croatia, Macedonia,
Poland, Czech Republic, Belgium, Slovenia, Romania, Sweden, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kosovo,
He has performed and/or recorded with Peter Evans, Sainkho Namtchylak, Svetlana Spajic, Mia Zabelka,
Milana Zaric, Eric Thielemans, Jonas Kocher, Laurent Bruttin, JeanYves
Evrard, Martin Brandlmayr, Johannes Frisch, Georg Wissel, Erhard Hirt, Rinus van Alebeek, Wo0, Branko Dzinovic, Blank Disc, Balazs Pandi, Irena Tomazin and more.
Gives workshops of various kinds of sound and electronic music approaches.to kids.
Since 2010, coordinates Blind Tapes, a participatory and chance dedicated tape label.
Has an award for sound design for the theatre play Bartleby (Mini Teater, Slovenia).
In 2013 he was commisioned by CTM Festival and Deutchlandradiokultur with the project Walk That Sound.
Coruns the artistinresidence/festival retreat MultiMadeira.
