Wolfgang Hamm, born in 1944, studied composition, piano, violin, musicology and cultural studies, has worked as a jazz pianist and theatre musician. Since 1974, he has worked as a composer, author and music producer in Cologne. Numerous scores for film, theatre and radio plays. A productive tension between music and other media (film, radio, literature, theatre, multimedia) as well as non-European cultures characterise Wolfgang Hamm's musical work.
